For the third year in a row, Kornel has been invited to perform and teach at the IMC, a great educational initiative for youngsters.
Located on Lake Monitou, North Dakota, the camp features an extremely high artistic standard (performances by instructors who are members of the TSO, MSO, faculty of U of T, UWO, RCM as well as great freelancing artists) as well as thorough daily coachings on chamber, orchestra and band music.
This July, it will be Kornel’s first season performing at MBTS Music Festival in Bamfield (Vancouver Island), BC – one of the most picturesque corners of Canada.
Kornel will perform solo and as part of the Wolak/Donnelly Duo and The Silver Birch String Quartet.
This fall, the Wolak/Donnelly Duo is going to record its debut album for Alma Records.
The album will feature works by Gershwin, Brahms, Mozart, Oscar Peterson and some of the Duo’s own arrangements of famous compositions by Bach, Paganini and more…

Wolak is the invited solo guest recitalist at the All-Polish Clarinet Competition.
On May the 18th at 8pm, Kornel will perform a recital with Joanna Zathey (piano) in the city of Wloszakowice where the competition is held every three years.
The program will include works by Brahms, Bach, Debussy, Paganini, Mozart and Rossini. On the 19 of May, he will also participate in the gala concert celebrating 30-year-long career in teaching and promoting clarinet culture in Poland of Prof. Zdzislaw Nowak (Kornel’s former teacher and mentor).
In the winter/spring of 2013, having been selected by Prairie Debut’s presenters, the Wolak/Donnely Duo is going to make more than a dozen appearances in various concert venues across Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta.
The Duo is going to bring to the Prairies lots of new and exciting selections along with its newly released (by then) album.
To celebrate the 100th year of Jean Francaix’s birth, Kornel visited his son, Jean Francaix, in France to plan a Centennial DVD Project.
In collaboration with conductor Kerry Stratton a documentary will be made about Francaix’ life and work combined with live performances, featuring his Clarinet Concerto and Ballet Music.
