
Dr. Kornel Wolak gave a masterclass on articulation for single-reed instruments at Long & MCQuade in Victoria, BC on April 17, 2018, including a discussion of his scientific articulation techniques and a demonstration of high-end clarinets and accessories.
March 29, 2018 – It is never easy to commemorate friends who are no longer around but whom we miss dearly. Together with my good friend, Jean-Philippe Finkelstein, we tried. John Bentley Mays was a strong figure in Toronto’s arts life for many decades. We thought he would like to hear Bach played in his study.
University of Victoria Faculty of Music welcomes Kornel Wolak as faculty for the January through May 2018 term. Wolak follows in the footsteps of Patricia Kostek, who has retired her position as clarinet instructor after 28 illustrious years at UVIC.
