Wolak Clarinet Extravaganza is my most recent creation: a new full-length show featuring the clarinet in various settings and repertoires, scored for solo clarinet with soprano voice, accordion / piano, guitar and a string quartet. The program is very versatile, suitable for a wide range of audiences, and includes visual effects and choreography. The goal is to promote classical music by presenting it in a very unique and entertaining way. The show can be divided into much shorter sections with fewer performers depending on venues: from regular theaters, to community halls and school shows. Educational programs are extremely important to me. I have done a great number of them ranging from generic school shows up to master-classes for very advanced students in university and beyond. We can easily modify the size and the program to serve any of these purposes.
The “Extravaganza” is a ready-to-present project. This means that the core quartet (clarinetist, soprano, accordionist and guitarist) arrives with our easy-to-install stage set and with instructions for the in-house lighting and sound engineers. The additional string quartet can be a collaboration with artists of the country we are touring, whose parts are sent well in advance. Estimated length of the show is approximately 104’ (it could vary depending on the agreed amount of pieces chosen from the proposed list).
